Why the Industry
Needed a Standard.

In 2024, the life coaching industry generated an estimated $20 billion globally. There are more than 100,000 practitioners operating across the English-speaking world. There is no standardized licensing requirement in most jurisdictions. There is no independent body that verifies what coaches actually deliver to the people who pay them.

What exists instead is a marketplace of testimonials curated by the coaches themselves — endorsements that survive only because they flattering, displayed only because they were submitted voluntarily, and weighted only by how well they photograph on a homepage.

Attest was built on a single editorial conviction: credibility cannot be self-reported. It must be earned through scrutiny, maintained through consistency, and protected through independence.

The Review Threshold

A coach enters the Attest index only after accumulating a minimum of 8 verified client assessments across at least 6 months of active practice. There are no shortcuts.

A rotating panel of credentialed organizational psychologists and senior ICF-certified coaches evaluates methodology, ethical conduct, and outcome documentation.

No coach, certification body, or commercial partner can influence a published assessment. Our editorial board operates under a strict separation-of-interests charter.

Longitudinal Tracking

Assessments are not snapshots. We track coaching relationships over 6–18 months, updating ratings as outcomes become measurable and clients reflect with distance.
